Jewellery Making classes in Auchterarder Perthshire

Have you ever thought about making your own jewellery.  I am now offering classes in jewellery making.  I have a class schedule but if any of these times do not suit you, please contact me to set up a time that suits you.

Workshops include:

Silver Clay Workshop
Metalsmithing Workshop
Chainmaille Workshop
Wirework Workshop

You do not need any experience at all for any of the workshops.

All the material and tools will be supplied for all of the workshops.

Metalsmithing

Beading is normally a jewelry maker’s first introduction to jewelry design. After this, it doesn’t take long for most of us to take up wire work. The next logical progression is metal work. If you’ve thought about trying a new form of jewelry making and have followed the path of many of us so far, you might be ready for metalsmithing.

Metal Clay

Metal clay is a clay-like medium used to make jewelry, beads and small sculpture. It consists of very small particles of precious metals (such as silver, gold or platinum) mixed with an organic binder and water. Metal clay can be shaped just like any soft clay, by hand or using moulds. After drying, it can be fired in a variety of ways including in a kiln, with a handheld gas torch, or on a gas stove. The binder burns away, leaving the pure, sintered metal.
